P/VP Message 2024
It is with great excitement that we begin our tenures as Principal and Vice-Principal of Annunciation of Our Lord CES for the 2024-2025 school year.
“Together we are strong, in faith we are stronger.” – Annunciation of Our Lord
On behalf of the staff at Annunciation of Our Lord Catholic Elementary School, we would like to welcome you to a vibrant school community where students are at the heart of everything we do. It is our privilege to serve this community with a staff that is extremely talented and hard-working, dedicated to helping our students reach their potential in the fullness of Christ.
It is our goal to care for this school community through a commitment to student achievement and well- being in a safe and happy learning environment that is inclusive, equitable, and accepting that meets students where they are and empowers them to be positive leaders of the future in our school and community. We believe in setting clear expectations that build our community by giving our students the confidence to take risks and learn from their mistakes in a restorative manner.
We also have the privilege of educating our children in a Catholic school system. This is a responsibility that we do not take for granted. As merchants of hope, we place great value on our three cornerstones of community– school, home, and church. As adult educators, we must teach, model, and live the Gospel values in all of our actions. Students need to experience and witness our faith, not only in Religion and Family Life classes, but in the day-to-day life of the school.
The staff at Annunciation of Our Lord truly work as a team supporting the academic, social, and spiritual growth of our students. In meeting the diverse needs of all of our students, we recognize the importance of open and honest dialogue between the home and school and the value of parent involvement within our school. It is our goal to communicate regularly and meaningfully with all members of our school community and to model the standards of respect, civility and responsible citizenship.
We would like to extend a warm welcome to all the new families joining our school community. Annunciation of Our Lord is a safe, inclusive, and welcoming school committed to the Each Belongs philosophy and the belief that every child is created in God’s image.
We look forward to meeting all of you and serving our wonderful school community.
Yours in Catholic Education,
D. Younger and J. Tersigni
